Rustic charms meet high-tech elegance in this new 55, 000 sq ft lodge. Three floors, Two bars, indoor & outdoor dining and state-of-the-art rental center, our new lodge is like nothing you've ever seen.
A thousand foot vertical, just 47 miles from the George Washington Bridge, and the “most powerful snowmaking system in the universe” make Mountain Creek the reigning champion of close-to-home skiing and snowboarding for New York and New Jersey families. There’s just one thing that’s been missing from this picture, and that’s a proper ski lodge … or at least it was until the acquisition of Mountain Creek by Crystal Springs Resort.
Construction is now complete on the new 3-story 50, 000 square foot structure that will set a new standard in Day Lodges, mixing all the charm of historical large open span construction with finely appointed features like large open fireplaces, massive glass walls to capture the brilliant valley light, a unique ice-bar and a luxurious private club for those who demand even more. Recognizing the lessons of 50 years of ski area operations across the country, and incorporating a wide array of high-tech solutions the new Mountain Creek Lodge will house and service all the functions of arriving, renting, dining and relaxing in a masterfully designed manner that follows the pattern of the typical skiers’day.
The new lodge is complimentary to The Appalachian in it’s scale and Adirondack-modern exterior style. It sits where the DC Bar and the First Aid Building were located, and is paired with a complete re-design, re-grading and rehabilitation of the Base Area from the Cobblestone Village pedestrian bridge to the Cabriolet Gondola and the top of the ‘SchoolYard’teaching areas, including a new dedicated Kids Kamp and Ski School facility.
