Warm Mineral Springs is the southernmost major spring in Florida and is also the warmest, with a nearly constant water temperature of 87 F. This naturally warm spring, unique in the state, is surrounded by an 81-acre private resort and day spa.

Warm Mineral Springs has easy access for swimmers and is surrounded by green lawn suitable for sunning, lounging, and visiting. The spring water has the highest mineral content of any spring in the United States, resulting in greater buoyancy than in most fresh water, making it easier to float. The spring discharges 9 million gallons of water each day, essentially refilling the spring pool every 2 hours.

Warm Mineral Springs is the southernmost and warmest spring in the state. Visitors are attracted to Warm for its mineral-rich waters.

The deep spring contains many caves, which have attracted underwater explorers and researchers since the 1950s. In 1973, divers uncovered the remains of an almost completely preserved 10, 000-year-old man at a depth of 155 feet, making Warm Mineral Springs one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Formerly privately owned, Warm Mineral Springs is now owned by the City of North Port. North Port has contracted with National and State Park Concessions, Inc., a company that specializes in running facilities associated with public parks, for daily operation of the spring. The spring is open for swimming, but the former spa and restaurant facilities are currently closed.

Daily admission is $20.00 for adults, and $10.00 for children 12 and under. No reservations are necessary.
