Pismo Hot Springs

Gaviota Hot Springs Trailhead

In the mid-1800s, the Paso Robles region—known for its mineral hot springs-was a rest stop for travelers of the Camino Real trail who indulged in the area’s therapeutic watering hole. Today, the Paso Robles Inn carries on this tradition with 18 of its guest rooms outfitted with hot spring spas. The water used to fill the tubs in the Deluxe Mineral Spa Rooms are drawn from a separate source from the drinking water and does not impact the current drought in California. The recently remodeled mission-style hotel also boasts a steakhouse-featuring Harris Ranch beef, lush gardens, and a historic ballroom which accommodates up to 250 guests in the heart of Central California’s wine country.

The springs have been a popular local attraction since the late 18th century, when Franciscan padres from nearby missions began using them.
