Muktuk
Adventures Guest Ranch
On
the shores of the Takhini
River, in the magnificent
Ibex Valley, just north
of Whitehorse, Yukon.
Innkeeper:
Frank Turner & Anne

Muktuk
Adventures Guest Ranch offers
accommodation in cozy, rustic
cabins. Visitors can
stay at the ranch by the day
or by the week. This is a unique
Bed and Breakfast,
ideal for people who loves dogs,
with 100 dogs to keep you company.
Families are Welcome!
Muktuk
Adventures B&B is
located on the Takhini River,
close to the Old Dawson Trail,
the Takhini Hotsprings and the
Yukon Quest Trail. The ranch
is surrounded by panoramic views
of the mountains in the Ibex
Valley, the Laberge Hills and
Haeckel Hill. Nestled into an
ox-bow on the river, the 100-acre
ranch is bordered on three sides
by the river. This location is
ideal for mushing in the winter,
and for canoeing and swimming
in the summer. Our main building
is located near the river, with
a cedar sauna tucked in behind
it. Our guests join us for meals
in the main lodge, and all the
mushing gear is located in the
Dog Room. Our home is built with
Sitka spruce logs from Haines,
Alaska (Yukon Alaska Log Homes).
Frank and our crew will provide
expert instruction and guiding,
and Frank will share some of the
secrets of running competitively
in the Quest. Visitors will also
learn about canine nutrition and
care. We are completely dedicated
to giving our dogs the best possible
care -- from the birth of puppies,
throughout their racing careers,
and their retirement. We make a
special effort to ensure that our "seniors" enjoy
a comfortable retirement. We work
closely with our vet in Whitehorse,
along with an expert in naturopathic
treatments, other specialists,
and a nutritionist.
There are a wide range of activities
you can participate in during your
stay at Muktuk. With all the dogs,
horses, hiking trails, swimming
holes and canoes, you will have
many options to choose from. And
then there's the peace and quiet!
